Funding A Sighting Device

What about the funding for A Sighting Device? At this point we see it as privately funded-that is-this is not about a non-profit group or foundation of any sort though they may chose to contribute funding. We'd like to see variations on A Sighting Device span the globe, creating a network of structures to visit-all made possible by the individual commitment of the various locales they would be built in.

As we'd expect local customs, attitudes, building materials, labor and abilities to raise funds-among other things-to vary by the area it's harder to give a hard and fast number. Ideally a structure like this is seen being built for between $100,000-$200,000 after the land for it is secured.

"volunteer" labor is welcomed. By this is meant something that echos the behavior of those who helped build the great cathedrals of Europe-though this labor is done in the context of a secular society.
